A wall built without calculations and drainage cracks and slides after the first rains: water behind it creates pressure the estimate never accounted for.
Sloped plots
Retaining walls
and slope stabilization
A retaining wall on a slope in Tbilisi is monolithic reinforced concrete designed for the soil: cantilever and counterfort walls, walls on piles, with wall drainage and waterproofing. ONEZA quotes the price after a site visit and the survey and fixes it in the contract before the works start: it depends on the height and length of the wall, the soil and access for machinery.
ONEZA does not build walls without geology and structural calculations: a structural engineer sizes the thickness, the reinforcement and the footing. Reinforcement is accepted before concreting, and every stage is recorded on photo and video. You get a wall with as-built documentation and acts for the concealed works. On a sloping plot the walls, the foundation and the frame of the house are designed together to work as one system.
Your challenge
Why do retaining walls
crack and slide?
We start with geology and load calculations and design drainage and waterproofing into the project. Price and schedule are fixed in the contract before work begins.
What we do
What goes into
a retaining wall?
| Parameter | The ONEZA solution |
|---|---|
| Purpose | Holding soil on slopes, terraces, driveways and platforms |
| Structure | Monolithic reinforced concrete: cantilever and counterfort walls, walls on piles |
| Height | By calculation: from low terraces to walls several metres high |
| Drainage | Wall drainage, water diversion, waterproofing |
| Base | Soil and groundwater survey before design |
| Deliverable | A wall with as-built documentation and hidden-works certificates |
How we work
How do we build
a wall on a slope?
Geology
Soil and water surveys: without them the wall cannot be sized.
Calculation
A structural engineer calculates the wall's thickness, reinforcement and footing.
Drainage
We drain water from behind the wall so pressure doesn't build up after rain.
Oversight
We inspect reinforcement before pouring, with photos and video of every stage.
Questions
In short
the essentials
Can a wall be built without a design?
We don't build retaining walls without calculations: a mistake in thickness or reinforcement only shows once the wall has already tilted.
How much does a retaining wall cost?
Cost depends on height, length, soil and access for machinery. After a site visit and surveys we provide an estimate and fix the price in the contract.
Do you build walls together with the house?
Yes. On a sloped plot we design the retaining walls, foundation and frame of the house together so the structures work as one system.
